“I truly enjoyed this unique experience my boyfriend and I did together. He gifted it to me as a Valentine's Day gift which is extremely thoughtful of him. It was a private class in their smaller studio in El sobrante. We had the whole little place to ourself. The teacher first gave us a quick overview of the basics of scents. It was helpful to have an accompanying sheet of paper for the visuals. She then walked us through the steps of mixing perfume and then pretty much left us alone for most of the class so we could try out the different scents and come up with our favorite combination. All in all it was a great hour and a half to 2 hours spent. You might want to be a little careful about how you feel afterwards as smelling so many different scents can give you a bit of a headache and a sensory overload. It took us a good 2 hours to smell normally again. What helped was that we immediately had lunch at an Indian restaurant afterwards. The strong smells of the spices and the food helped offset some of the scents we had been sniffing in the morning.
I should also mention that the teacher and the staff in general are very friendly and nice. We were driving all the way up from San Jose and we're running 10 minute late due to a flat tire situation in the morning so we called ahead and let them know they were very accommodating of that.”
