“This was such a fun and engaging class. Great to do something hands on and learn a few new skills. The classroom was very well equipped and had everything needed. Teacher was awesome and supportive! Would take more classes here again, there are lots to choose from.”
“Amazing class. Great, friendly instructor and nice class participants made for a supportive, creative learning environment. Our teacher was quick to help me with a doable template for my design idea. The class was challenging and we stayed a total of five hours in order to complete. There were moments of am I going to be able to finish my project, but we persevered and it wrapped up successfully. I felt very accomplished in the end making the challenge so rewarding!”
“This was a wonderful class that definitely was a challenge, but overall, it was a very rewarding experience.
The teacher was very patient and willing to help at all steps along the way. There are a fair amount of techniques to learn, and they were taught well. She was also very friendly and contributed positively to the experience.
By the end of the class, each student was able to take home their own finished piece of stained glass.
Some tips I would give to someone taking this class for the first time:
-Watch some videos on the stained glass process beforehand. Seeing the steps performed prior to learning them in the class made me feel more comfortable and confident.
-Don't get discouraged! The techniques take a little time to get used to.
-The class provides some basic templates that you can use, but you can bring your own design. Just keep it small and simple (no more than 7" in size, < 10 pieces), because even a minimal design will take time to complete. The teacher can also help you fulfill your vision and keep it realisitic, if you have something specific in mind.
Overall, I loved the freedom of choosing your own design and color scheme (SO many color options!), I appreciated the organization, knowledge, and assistance provided by the teacher, and I felt accomplished by the end of the class.
