“The Learn to Weld a Steel Planter Box at Craftsman Ave was/is an enjoyable workshop. The instructor Jacob is very knowledgeable and excellent at explaining what the participants are going to be doing the workshop. He provides a demostration of each step and makes sure that each participant understands the particular process.
The workshop consists of grinding the steel, then MIG welding and then further grinding to clean the welds and the steal of the residue from the welding. After the second grinding the student can chose to use an engraver and decorate his/her planter.
As is usual for Craftsman Ave workshops, the workshop was structured and well designed. What adds; in my opinion; to the enjoyment of the workshop(s) is that there is zero pressure placed on creating a perfect project!!! The student is told; verbally and through the actions of the instructor and host; to just have fun. To concentrate on learning the particular step in the process and then execute. Stress is placed on learning a new skill.
As always with any workshop at Craftsman Ave, I suggest any one wishing to learn MIG welding to register for this workshop.”
