“the virtual DIY Chunky Knit Blanket was quite enjoyable. Cara, the instructor, was very nice and personable.
Cara began the virtual session with an brief explanation on hand knitting using chunky yarn and of how the session would progress. After which she demonstrated visually how to begin the first row with a slip knot, with the opening about two fingers wide. After the creation of the slip, Cara proceeded to demostrate on how to create a loop of yarn and then to repeat the creation of loops for the first row of about twenty-six (26) tight loops. At the twenty-sixth, she then demonstrated on how to create a second row.
In my particular case, since I was using skeins; what the roll of yarn is called; of two different colors, Cara demonstrated on how to change colors and then proceed with the rows. Cara then instructed me to repeat the steps until I was the end of the skeind and then demonstrated on how to end/close the hand knitting.
Cara was also very kind, in that when the allotted time had expired, she remained on to demonstrate on how to end/close the blanket.
I would most certainly take another of Cara's virtual classes and would definitely recommend anyone in learning on how to know using chunky yarn and their fingers to take one of her sesssions.”
“Cara did a great job of leading us through making a chunky hand knit blanket! She was pleasant and patient and went over the steps several times before moving on. It was a fun break from work!”
“Cara was an excellent teacher! She explained everything very clearly and thoroughly and made the class fun!
Absolutley obsessed with my blanket and so glad that I get to continue making more with the skills I learned!”
“The class was shortened due to a lack of communication between the organizer and the teacher. The camera was beyond poor and could barely see what was being conducted, would recommend investing in better cameras to teach and instruct. Otherwise, it was nice, my team enjoyed it as it was a new experience for all of us!”
