“Started out fun but ended in pittifuly...
The class was held in what didn't look like a studio at all. It was an empty floor of a commercial mid rise that they appeared to have just rented to take in the in-flux of participants during Valentine's Day weekend. The person leading the class was overwhelemed because they were leading leading 3 classes at a time. No examples of art were presented, barely any tips were given, anything that you would expect in an art making class.
Despite that, we had a few moments of fun actually forming the moss wall, but that fun was short lived.
The space was a mess. The cords for the glue guns were only 3ft long, and they didn't have any extension cords. So the people in the class had to move the tables close to the wall so it could reach one of the 2 outlet locations in the room. It was unorganized and uncomfortable.
There wasn't even enough glue for us to finish. So after we've had enough nonsense, I told the host that we'll just finish it at home and left.
I expected a true class expereince. Instead we paid to figure it out for ourselves. Truly dissapointing.”
“We had such a great time making our moss wall art pieces! Kadir was very friendly, explained how to do things and we were pretty much left to create! We stayed over the class time and he told us to take our time and not rush as we were finishing. It was a really nice environment and we can’t wait to go back for another class!”
“Keith was an absolute gem! The moss wall art workshop was such an awesome experience and the perfect way to connect, tap into our creative sides, and get crafty on our team retreat! I appreciated how attentive Keith was and warm and inviting he was as well. Will definitely be back for another workshop!”
“Our teacher was sadly stretched way too thin between 3-4 classes at the same time. I even ended up having to let someone in from our party since our teacher was way too preoccupied to answer the buzzer. Although our class did not require a ton of attention, we got basically none after the initial 2 minutes as he had to divide his time. There were also limited materials to use and nothing to replenish the items that were low. We were still able to make nice designs but would have loved more variety. For example - there were only a few pieces of flowers and wooden elements. For our party of 5, they were gone fast and only 2 people got to utilize them. It would be fair to have backup elements on hand to replace anything that gets low so each class gets access to the same things OR I’d advise to book for one of the earlier time slots so you can ensure that you have the best pick of whatever is available. We overheard the people from the other classes happening at the same time and they made remarks about not getting much attention either. He was nice enough and probably a good teacher/ facilitator but it is impossible to attend to that many people doing different activities at one time. Not sure if refreshments or snacks should have been offered based on other reviews that mentioned them but we were not offered anything.”
“Our teacher Keith was fabulous, engaging and I love that he created alongside us. It was easy, fun and we made something we loved in such a short time. It was the perfect birthday experience!!!”
“I was a little disappointed that I was the only one making one. I was hoping to meet some people. I thought it would be live moss like a real moss wall. I thought it would have a butterfly like in the description. I did have fun making it.”
