Chiaki, our instructor, was very sweet and made sure everything was prepared in time before the event. We hosted it in our office as a corporate team event, and was very communicative with what materials she needed to ship to the building beforehand and drop off the morning of, which I helped coordinate. I liked the short history lesson before the start of class, as well as learning the basics of Ohara Ikebana style. The instructor brought in beautiful dahlias to work with as well as branches and chrysanthemums, which made for a pretty design. For this corporate workshop which I hosted in my office building, we were able to take home the shallow vases + frogs (from my research this may not be the case if it were hosted in their own workshop, so just be aware of this!) I'm so glad I got to take my ikebana home!

This class was AMAZING! Such a lovely lesson, activity, and creative outlet that really helped you to be in the present moment. The history was wonderful to learn about, and the hands on activity was so worth it. All of the instructors were incredible and accomodating. Each one went around and answered any and all questions we had. 15/10 experience. will try and finish all class to get a certificate!

Ms. Takahashi was a great teacher. She taught us a lot while also being concise. It was a little challenging but she and the other teacher were helpful and provided help. Our teacher was very thoughtful and made sure to spend time with every student's creation at the end even when it was getting later than 8pm. She really cares for the art and you can tell she loves to teach about it too!

I took an ikebana flower arrangement class with Asae, and it was a great experience. She started with a powerpoint presentation that covered the history and principles of ikebana, providing helpful context before we began working on our arrangements. Her explanations were thorough and detailed, making it easy to follow along even for beginners. For the hands-on portion, we created a "rising form" floral arrangement, with step-by-step guidance from Asae. She gave individual feedback and answered any questions we had, ensuring that everyone understood the techniques. At the end of the class, we were able to take our flower arrangements home, though the tools and materials were not included (they can be purchased on Amazon). Overall, this class was a great introduction to ikebana, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about Japanese floral design.

I recently attended an Ikebana class, and here's my quick review: The teacher was fantastic! She was not only knowledgeable but also very patient and attentive. Her passion for Ikebana was evident, which made the learning experience enjoyable. It was in a peaceful setting that complemented the art of Ikebana perfectly. Yes, the materials were provided, and they were of high quality. It ensured that we had everything we needed to create stunning Ikebana compositions. I felt like I got great value for the money spent, especially considering the newfound skill and appreciation for Ikebana that I gained. During the class, we learned the basics of Ikebana, including its history, principles, and various styles. We practiced different techniques for arranging flowers and foliage harmoniously and artistically. It was a hands-on experience that allowed us to create our own Ikebana arrangements under the teacher's guidance. What I liked most about the Ikebana class was the meditative aspect of the art form. It taught me to appreciate the beauty in simplicity and the importance of balance and harmony in design. The class provided not only a creative outlet but also a sense of tranquility and mindfulness. It was a truly enriching experience, and I can't wait to continue exploring Ikebana on my own.
