Wheel Throwing Workshop: Fun with Clay Reviews

5 Rating 23 Reviews
Brian was so skillful, engaging, and interesting to learn how to throw clay from. I particularly enjoyed how he explained "the science " behind pottery. Play-dough for adults! Super fun but much more complex than Brian makes it look! Would definitely return.

I took this class recently. Wheel throwing is something that I have wanted to try for a long time. I had to reschedule it several times and appreciated Brian's flexibility. So glad that it finally worked out! Brian was a very patient teacher and helped me several times in fixing what I was working on. I had the opportunity to make a cup and a bowl. It was at times mesmerizing, yet challenging for sure. Worth it, makes me appreciate the process, skill, and effort behind handmade pottery.

I surprised my partner for her birthday and took her to Brian's wheel throwing workshop and we really enjoyed it. We loved being able to have a private session with just us two for her birthday and appreciated how supportive and knowledgeable Brian was in wheel throwing. We were able to pick the glaze color afterwards and texture of our bowls and they were ready to pick up about 2 weeks later, which was quicker than I expected! Overall, my partner & I look forward to taking another private class with Brian and we loved being able to have something to bring home that we both made on my partner's special day. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a solo wheel throwing class, a date idea with a partner, or a fun event to go to with a family member or friend

Brian was an excellent instructor. My friend and I had no experience and he was very patient with us. We were able to make two pieces during the time and Brian helped fix the clay along the way so the final product looked super nice!

The class was great! The instructor is extremely patient and friendly and will walk you through every single step. The space is comfortable and it’s private, so you will have full attention during your time there. I had a lot of fun and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an introductory class!

Brian was a wonderful instructor and I had the best time ever during this class! I went with my partner as a birthday celebration and we had such a great time. Brian was so kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. It was our first time working with clay and Brian walked us through every step and took his time. The workspace was also perfect- it was very clean and cozy, with a nice ambience with music and candles. The experience definitely exceeded my expectations. 10/10, would highly rcommend for any beginner!

I booked this class to surprise my girlfriend with a date where neither of us had any previous experience in. We had a wonderful time with Brian in this private 2 person class! Brian first showed us an example from start to finish where he did the clay throwing and explained every step before we get our hands dirty and make our own pieces. Brian was a great instructor and we had so much fun making mistakes and eventually creating our masterpieces ;D
