5 Rating 2 Reviews
Read Climbing Anchors Reviews

The ultimate climbing, hiking, kayaking waste disposal system and an environmentally responsible choice. WAG BAG by Cleanwaste kits are approved for disposal in landfills.Poo Powder by Cleanwaste is a specially engineered mix of a non-toxic polymer-based absorbent (similar to what is in baby diapers), along with an organic decay catalyst and odor neutralizer (no perfumes). When waste comes in contact with the powder, the powder gels the liquid waste, encapsulates the solid waste, removes odours and begins the decay process.

At the Scottish National Mountain Centre at Glenmore Lodge their policy is to carry out ALL waste. A great idea and one that makes the process less daunting and results in less contamination of the spots we climb in.

Have you been to shipley upper, slider or coolum recently? I dare you to walk through the grass 2m from the crag without very carefully looking at where you place each foot. Climbers crap where they climb, it's disgusting and we should all be ashamed of our community's complete lack of respect for the environment. Buy a poo tube/bucket, if you're climbing at a medium or high usage area, CARRY OUT YOUR SHIT. Maybe if we learn this lesson, land managers (national parks etc) will stop treating climbers like we're a pack of selfish heathens who don't deserve access into parks, thats certainly how we behave at the moment.
