“After being turned down for surgery due to my hooded lids, I tried Lids By Design. Well the joke was on the surgeon, because the next time I saw him he actually said, "Oh you had your lids done by someone else. Wow they look great!"
Fooled him, and got to skip the ordeal of surgery.”
“When I first received them I did struggle a bit to get them placed in the right area on my lid. I ended up buying a magnifying mirror though and it definitely was easier. They honestly did the job of holding up my hooded lid! I did feel they were a bit expensive so found some others on Amazon that were cheaper but they were just that, cheaper and didn't work as well at all. These lids are the best and worth paying the extra money for. I won't go without them again and definitely worth not having hooded eyes droop down on my eyelashes.”
“I'm in my 70's and should have had surgery for my hooded lids years ago. Now with the virus going full steam I decided to look into something a little less intrusive. I have only used them twice so far since I'm still self isolating but had a couple of FaceTime occasions to want to look good. First I watched the instructional video over and over and over again until it all made sense. After my morning shower I put on my moisturizer as usual but before applying makeup I applied oil free eye makeup remover across that first fold on each eye. Used a 7mm and 6 mm strip because both eyes are not hooded the same. Continued with my makeup and was able to use eyeliner, mascara and a shadow on my brow bone. They stayed on all day. First time I applied them I knew they were there but the second time almost forgot to take them off at the end of the day. I highly recommend them and feel I do not have to raise my eyebrows when talking with someone as I once did to make myself look more awake and younger. Hope explaining my experience helps someone who may still be on the fence about making this purchase.”
“The different sizing options is key. Both eyes are not the same so this is a good way to customize the look. Also they are comfortable to wear but sometimes the ends come up. Would be good to have a little glue stock to ensure they stay in place!”
Hi Julia,
We are so happy you are loving all the different sizes and discovering what works best for you! It is always important to make sure you apply the correcting strips to a clean, dry eyelid free from any oils, moisturizers, and makeup. We recommend using the B5 Eyelid Prep Pads that work wonders to prepare your eyes for correcting strips. The B5 Prep Pads have a gentle exfoliating texture that captures dirt, oil, and dead skin in its fabric and helps with the optimal transparency of LIDS BY DESIGN and a bond that will last up to 24 hours!
Feel free to let us know if you need anything else!
