Most likely, transparency is determined by how well LIDS BY DESIGN is bonded to the skin. You should always first try the press and hold technique to ensure LIDS BY DESIGN adhesive has blended in as much as possible to the skin tone! If it still not transparent to your liking, you can also try using our COLORSET All-In-One Pencil to evenly apply eye shadows over the strip.
“I had high hopes for this product based on the videos and pictures. While the strips do lift the lids and create a better look, they are not invisible if you try to apply makeup. I wasted more than 3 full sheets of strips learning how and where to place them only to have them either start peeling at the ends once I applied shadow and eyeliner or they became rather visible. They are no longer invisible if you wear shadow making them quite noticeable and for me, unusable as I always wear eye makeup.”

For best results, the correcting strips should apply to the bare skin before any makeup, oils, or moisturizers. We recommend using our Eyelid Prep Pads to prepare the skin for LIDS BY DESIGN. The strip and the skin are two different surfaces, so makeup will inherently take two different ways. To avoid this, use our Transforming Shadow Base over the strip and eyelid to make everything one smooth surface. This base was specially designed to work with the strips as it is oil-free and will not interfere with the adhesive! Make sure the shadow base dries out completely before applying, like 2-4 mins drying time, this allows the shadows to be more pigmented and last all day long.
