At Coombe Farm, our flocks of Dorset and Lleyn ewes and lambs are the ultimate free rangers. They're perfectly designed for our climate and, as ruminants, have evolved to be able to extract every last drop of goodness out of the grass they eat. That grass is grazed either straight from the field during the warmer months or as hay and silage during the winter. The flavour that you taste in our lamb or mutton can be directly attributed to what the sheep have eaten, so it's good to know that our pasture is fully organic and Soil Association certified, meaning you can be sure it's fertilized with natural materials and the meat you eat has no chemical taint.
