“It was the most tender roast pork I can remember eating, but it wasn’t identifiable as a gammon. It didn’t taste ham-like in the slightest and had no smoky taste what so ever. I did treat it the way I would a “normal” gammon and soak it over night before replacing the water and boiling it for an hour before roasting and glazing. Maybe it needed more delicate treatment but I wouldn’t buy it again. I also bought a honey glazed ham (pre-cooked) which was delicious so I’d recommend that as a better option for a more classic hammy taste and texture.”
