The Spin for Perfect Skin is meant to be a tight screw and seal so that water does not get into the battery area and the unit can be water proof. All units are like this so we can only suggest that you ask for assistance in opening the unit. It is designed to be a tight seal for the waterproof purpose. It needs a little force behind it.
