“I ordered this sweater to go with 2 beautiful wool pleated skirts I
have from Cotswold Collections. Unfortunately I found it to be
not as I anticipated. The Merino Wool is the harshest I have ever
encountered. My daughter had commented on my lovely skirts and
her first comment on the sweater how harsh it is, not nice Merino.
I kept it as I liked the colour. The sleeves are 2" too short and it is wider
than normal (14). The length lovely. Confirming your sizing is for a shorter lady with a
heavier build and not those 5'10' tall, slim build.

“Surprisingly, given that this is exactly the same as turtlenecks in other colours, tthe purple one is a bit rougher against the skin. I know that some dyes affect yarn differently. I expect that including fabric conditioner in the wash will solve the issue. Otherwise the sweater is well fitting and warm. An always useful classic.”
