“So, I chose terrazzo tiles from tilebar.com and they are polished, nut not sealed. Yet as a concrete product, they are porous and I began to notice staining shortly after install. I quickly realized I needed to seal both the tile body and the grout and set about to find the right product.
I ordered the maximum stain resistance due to high traffic, being in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room, having kids and a husband who spills coffee. I've sealed 2 rooms now and this penetrates and disappears on the tile. I do two coats one following the next by 10 min, and get a little residue left over after 15min on the second coat.
It's wonderful seeing my tile body resist water. Liquid just beads on the surface and doesn't absorb.
Now liquids and greasy dirt and regular dirt isn't going to make it into the tile body.
I am hoping I get good coverage with the remaining gallon and 3/4 on my 1100 square feet.
I was happy to receive the sealer without leaks or damage...they arrived within a week.”
“We are finally getting rain. Four of my center panels (48”x48”) seem not to be beading water like the others. These four panels are together. I wonder if we didn’t let the sealer “pool” as much as the others. I’ve read that is not advisable to apply a second coat. In my case, should we do so? I’d need to order another gallon.
By the way, we use all of the three (3) gallons on a 575sf concrete slab.”
