“I used GlazeGuard Satin on the new stone tile floor I installed in our master bath. I wanted a 'wet look' rather than the dry dull tile. Very pleased. Easy to apply. Dries evenly and gives the look I wanted and not slippery as stated. Will use again on floor in front bath when that project is finished.”
“This is more a story of disaster, discovery and delight. Using GlazeGuard, I planned to 'epoxy' 1,800 Sq ft of 24"x24" porcelain tiles. After 6 months I was ready to add the 'coup de gras' - the finish. Fully prepped the surface - or so I thought. Watched all the videos on YouTube. Applied the material and almost immediately could tell something was wrong. It was 'pulling' off as I rolled over a second time to erase the roller marks. Looked terrible. I stopped, made a video and sent off to Charles at CoveeTec. That was 8pm FL time - by the morning, I had a response, we chatted - discovered the issue was the acid wash I had used to dehaze the tiles. Down to Homedepot - bought a pH neutral wash. Washed the remainder of the surface of that room. Rolled fresh epoxy on the floor and voila - perfect coverage. Delight. Incidentally, as terrible as the surface looked on top of the acid washed tile, the final finish could not be differentiated from the rest of the room. So DO NOT USE AN ACID WASH WITHOUT A pH BALANCE AFTERWARDS. As a footnote - everyone makes mistakes - I certainly did. And a good supplier is defined not by the issues that may be encountered with their products, but by the way they handle the solutions. Full marks to CoverTec.”
“We have very hard water in our area. It stains everything. After struggling for over a year looking for the right cleaning product or sealer, I found CoverTec. We used a satin finish to seal the shower floor in my new bathroom and it looks amazing. Not only does it always look wet we no longer have problems with the grout staining and looking chalky. I love this product!”
