“Works good for me. Much better, less leakage then the N20 I was using from the start. I sleep on my side mostly, I'm using the Medium, going to give the small a try though.
I have short hair but the strap still slips up on the back of my head as my hair is slippery. Still better than what I was using.
All this CPAP stuff is a crazy price in Australia, there is probably $5 worth of manufacturing, and I understand the R&D and setup has to be paid for, so maybe $10 to $15 would be justified. Every time I pay more than that I feel like I'm getting bent over the desk.”
“The head mounted attachment is a far better placement than the nasal location. You tend not to notice that it is there. The mask itself is also quieter than my previous marks.”
“This is probably the best mask I've found in 20+ years of CPAP use. It's comfortable, not claustrophobic and I can happily sleep on my side. As far as value for money is concerned, I find all things CPAP to be grossly over-priced. I recently paid $95 for a new water reservoir for my machine, which is scandalous. The manufacturers get away with this because they know we have no choice but to buy the equipment. I now only shop for a new mask when there is a major discount such as the recent Black Friday special.”
“Much better fit for my nostrils than the very similar Dream-wear from Philips. Otherwise all these masks are a bit too narrow passages - restrictive for anything but settled steady breathing, certainly do not allow hyperventilation, which the larger diameter original Respironics tubes did allow. However, this design exhausts most exhaled air at the tube junction and hence requires the whole mask to be washed more often than the Dream-wear, or it gets smelly.”
