new setup is working great... I need to get out and test it more!

I haven't tried every four buckle touring boot, nor have I tried every ice cream in the world, but I figure Cookie Dough is reasonably the best... just like I believe the Spectre to be the best four buckle touring boot. Pros: Super light! 3.14oz per boot for my 28.5 60 degrees of "I can't believe how this this is" cuff rotation Customization (micro adjustments, toebox, foreward leans, ect) Rockered sole/toe makes walking extra normal Vibram sole kicks butt! Nice and wide for those w/ normal feet. Cons: Sometimes the latches can flip loose wHile touring, but this is an easy fix once you micro adjust the buckles to proper tightness when not flipped closed... this is VERY nit picky. I loooOOOooOOOoove this boot!

I have been testing my new Sportiva Spectre for a month now. So far it has delivered on the promise. Lightweight, good fit, great performance for an AT boot. The fit is little tight on top of the foot and may require boot fitting. Overall, I think this boot is a top contender in the AT world at a great price! Thanks la Sportiva, great job CCBC!

boots are everything I hoped for. Lots of adj., lateral canting, movable tongue for fit, forward lean adj. great flexibility for hiking, plenty stiff for aggressive downhill skiing, great fit around my skinny ankles. Two problems, one of witch I expected, need to punch the forefoot of the boots for more room between the ball and 6th toe. The other was unexpected. The tongue on one boot was screwed in so tightly that I couldn't loosen it to adj. the tongue position. Laces for liners was also missing but you said you'd send them. All in all great service and an impressive boot.

Great boots. Two months and my feet are unblemished. Control is great, and the walk mode means sometimes I don't even release my heals.

This boot is really amazing. Solid 4 buckles, tours well, fairly light. It's not perfect but I'm not sure what boot is. I've had to shape the shell a few times - fortunately the Grilamid is easy to work with. The liner is well made - one downside is that it has a few seams coming together right on top of the inner ankle bone and that has been an issue. I've used these boots hard for a year and they've held up well. The sole has lost a little rubber while scrambling on rocks. Overall great boot!
