You're not paying for a standard pair of shorts, you're paying for lovely designs, incredible feeling materials, and snug and comfortable fitting shorts when you sleep in them.
All 4 pairs of shorts that I have bought have been just that, and I am just trying to weight up whether to add their matching tops, especially as I'm going on holiday in just under a month or so! I just might have to!
