“The dash in my 2004 Suburban was in pieces. Previous owner just put a carpet over the holes but looked terrible. Ordered the dash skin and glues the pieces of the old dash to the skin with the adhesive they provided plus an entire 2nd tube. Installed it once it dried. It looks so much better and doesn't rattle anymore.”

On this particular model, the instructions say to reinstall the vents before placing the dash cover. This would result in a serious project if you ever needed to do any work under your dash. I chose to replace the vents after the cover was glued in place - they stick out a touch more, but I will take the servicability.”
“Massively impressed. Most aftermarket items today need massaging of one type or another to make it fit. Not this, it was absolutely perfect. Did a test fit, picked it up, put on the glue, dropped it back on, put books on it to hold it down, towels on the sides to push against as I closed the doors. A few hours later...voila! “It is a bit flimsy. I would not recommend if your current dash top is broken or cracked quite a bit. Maybe one crack is the limit and you will need to glue it correctly. If you have 2 or more cracks, better to buy a junkyard dash top. It's pretty easy to install the real thing, but not as simple as the glue job for Dashskin.”
“1. Customer service of DashSkin is over the top - there is nobody better than these guys!!!
2. When installing, be careful of that ambient light sensor; if your dash is cracked, that plastic sensor bubble is likely crystaline and will break if you touch it;
3. If you break the ambient light sensor, take out the dash to replace it - you will only be frustrated beyond words by trying to replace it through the radio hole - I don't care what YouTubers say - the dash is not hard to remove after you have taken out the grab bar (you can remove the vent covers through the DashSkin);
4. In addition to the great instructions provided by DashSkin, pay special attention to adhesion points around the two passenger vents - it's easy for the DashSkin to not adhere to the original dash.
5. If you smear extra silicone glue on the visible portion of DashSkin during installation, be gentle when you clean it off - you can damage the DashSkin surface;
6. DashSkin is a great product at a great price and GM should be embarrassed they don't sell an OEM replacement.”
