“Style is terrible. The "quickwire" feature is a fire hazard for the inexperienced. Back stabbing anything like that presents an unsafe opportunity for mistakes and connectivity issues to cause arc incidents in a home. Not to mention the fit of the device in any standard switch box leaves a lot to be desired, even with minimal incoming wires and 100% neatness. I was forced to use your product as the home I was working in was already equipped with deako devices. I would never recommend your product to anyone.”

You're absolutely right, our backplates are best installed by someone with electrical experience or a licensed electrician. For those who prefer a simpler option, we offer our Universal Backplate and Faceplate, which many find easier to work with for DIY installations.
We also want to reassure you that all Deako products, including our Quickwire connections, are UL-listed and rigorously tested to meet national safety standards. When installed according to the instructions, they are safe and reliable.

“They are great. Also, this has nothing to do with the plates but the switches can only be used with a 14 copper wire and would be even better if they can also be used with a 12 wire (copper and aluminum mix). As an electrician I have projects where we use that type of wire and it would be great to have an option for that. Other than that, quality is great!”
