Not cakey at all even after hours of having it on. I was very lucky to order one of the last discontinued Kabuki brush to add to my Delilah brush collection on my most recent purchase and again it hasn't disappointed me at all. With very less effort, the kabuki brush glides on really well without leaving any bristle marks compared to cheap brush on the market I've used before.
