This is such a great side dish with many meals. We had it with a bbq.

Too oily. Quite a bit too oily. Otherwise the taste was good. I don;t like the foil container, because it is not microwavable. It means I have to empty the frozen au gratin into a container that I can microwave. That's a pain.

I associate potato gratin with lots of cheese and thick cheesy/creamy sauce. Although this had more expensive cheese than the ol' Tasty, I found it deficient in both cheese and sticky thick saucy stuff. I'd rather have more cheese even if it is cheaper cheese. Another piece of heresy for you: how would it be if you didn't peel the potatoes? I think that would be a nice and wholesome change.

So tasty. Most shop bought potato gratin is bland but NOT this one. Lasted more than one meal.
