Sticky Szechuan chicken with eggplant and shiitake mushrooms Reviews

The flavours were great but there was so much grit in either the eggplant or the mushrooms, so much so that we had to scrape all the vegetables off and only eat the chicken. Couldn’t judge serving size as the kids refused to eat it because of the teeth-jarring grit.

The sauce needs to be more spicy than this as meal pretty bland !

Trialled this one today. I cooked it on the stove - very easy. It went well with noodles.
