“I ordered edit ready and downloaded it, when it asked for the key to open it I tried with the one sent to me by email, it would not accept it. after trying two or three times with the codes or keys.
I then went on line conversed with one of your tech. people and they sent me a different code, they did not know who or why I was sent the wrong one, but it works now.. george d”
“This is an excellent product and is very easy to use
I wanted to get my AVCHD files from my new Sony mark seven cybershot onto my MacBook pro and it was a breeze. If only apple could incorporate this software into their computers.”
“It does the job but the user interface is a little buggy still. This is a fresh version of edit ready, so it will likely get improved in future versions.
Bugs I've seen:
1. Preset menu doesn't scroll with the mouse. IF you make a different selection, you just highlight it and hope that it's been selected.
2. Destination name; argument boxes that pop up are blank. You can click the blank box to guess what the things are, and that's what I did. I wanted to have a file name with a serial number at the end, which is totally possible, but I had to guess, because the box that pops up is blank.
Having said all that, functionally, it works and totally gets the job done. I'm using it to prep my AVCHD footage to import into final cut. I also used it to convert an AVCHD movie so I could share it with other people. It worked perfectly.”
Beningo,
I just wanted to let you know the problems you were seeing were specific to a recent update to macOS Catalina, and we've fixed them in EditReady 2.6.4. Please give the update a try!
“Without EditReady I would be in big trouble because my old iMac struggles with video editing. It can barely handle 1080p H.264 and similar camera files. By trimming, transcoding into ProRes and making proxies where necessary, EditReady keeps me going. I would be absolutely lost without it. Totally recommended.”
