I'm no stranger to a lumpy synthetic duvet. Night after night I've risen bleary-eyed from the land of nod to find lesser quilts straying over the side of the bed as the filling slides about like so many baby giraffes on a freshly-frozen ice rink. I'm happy to report that those days are, finally, over.
What. A. Duvet. It's so luxuriously soft and cosy that, if I didn't know better, I'd say it was down. It's reassuringly weighty when you slide into its tender embrace but in no way encumbers you if you're a sleeper of the more mobile persuasion. It's as warm as being snuggled by your very own pet bear, with none of the impending dread of being eaten mid-snooze. I can't speak for its longevity yet (hence the cautious 4/5 stars) but by all other accounts this is worth the money.
