We don’t use coal tar dyes because we err on the side of safety. All lipsticks are vegan except Claret Rose, Mauve Rose, Napa Grape, Pink Rose, Primrose, Sangria and Tuscany Rose which are colored with carmine.

Flower Cutins

Isopropyl Palmitate
Found in coconuts, this ingredient acts as a lubricant on the skin's surface, giving the skin a soft and smooth appearance.
Candelilla Wax
Called the “little candle”, it is a native shrub growing wild in the Chihuahua desert of Mexico. The wax gives structure and gloss to our lipstick.
Calendula Oil
This pure, clean oil is known for it’s soothing effects. It is a super-herb traditionally known for antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties.
Jojoba Oil
The human skin-identical pure golden oil withstands desert dryness and it soothes and moisturizes dry lips like a lip balm.
Iron Oxide
This natural mineral found in all of our make-up is important for its non-toxic and moisture-resistant properties.
Ingredients: Castor oil, isopropyl palmitate (from coconut), candelilla wax, Vitamin E, organic calendula oil, organic chamomile oil, organic jojoba oil, flower cutins, iron oxides. Pink colors contain carmine.Net Weight: .13oz/3.7g.

“I was really pleased with the color and texture of this NATURAL lipstick. I was hesitant to get a color with FROST in the name but this color is a really natural neutral with a matte like texture. I love it and feel good about wearing it!”

“Great colour and safe to use and eat in! however could do with more moisture. Slight tinge of a rubbery smell - lipstick has no fragrance.”

“Looking for the right shade of lipstick was a challenge. Looking for the right lipstick without a lot of chemicals and toxin was even more of a challenge. Then I discovered Ecco Bella. I love the Merlot color.”

“Purchased Tuscany Rose, love the color. It is nice and creamy, doesn't cake or make your lips feel dry like the drugstore brands. I will purchase more in other colors. Really like this product.”

“I try to use Ecco Bella lipstick because they are made with natural ingredients. Think about how much lipstick you have eaten in your life! I think it's better to not be eating chemicals. The downside of this is that the product has a shelf life. I bought this same color from The Vitamin Cottage Natural Grocers in Columbia MO and they must have had the same cosmetic stock as the day they opened five years ago. The lipstick was rancid. I bought two tubes and had to return them because they tasted like rancid oil. The manager at the store wouldn't let me try a third one without purchasing it, she should get a job at United Airlines, her corporate culture would fit in well, ha. I decided to go straight to Ecco Bella which cost more because of shipping, but there is no problem with the quality. There is no rancid taste to the lipstick. Love the color! I've been looking for an orange-red color without glitter in it for a long time.”

“I am a fair skinned & auburn haired. I don't gravitate toward the peach colors usually but I don't like pinks or reds on my skin. I chose this because it looked similar to the brownish rose color that I usually wear & the color was almost a match. I found that it was very matte which is a look that I do enjoy. The kind folks at Ecco Bella suggested that I might like to try the Spice Lipsmoother for some shimmer. I did order that since I was ready to try the foundation also. This is a great lipstick, non drying, stays put, is matte, is natural looking. I recommend.”

“Beautiful color perfect for Spring and Summer days. As previous reviews, it is a little dry on the lips but I use it with some lip balm underneath and problem solved. Ladies, keep in mind that makeup without harsh chemicals wont last as long as those that have toxic ingredients. I rather re-apply as many times as I need and know that my lips and my health is good.”
