“Fantastic. After a trip to Europe this past fall, my wife and I noticed our back pains were virtually gone after just a night or two of sleeping on very firm European mattresses. So, when we got home I began the daunting process of mattress shopping, where every company's offerings are "the best mattress money can buy" and will "solve all your bodily pain," etc. This is definitely the best mattress I've ever owned, in terms of my own needs, and I can say the same for my wife who struggles with even more back issues than I do. Both of us have seen serious improvement just in the few weeks we've been sleeping on our new mattress. I will also mention that the fact this company offers a TRUE FREE RETURN, where there are no "fees" for collecting and returning the mattress, got me to pull the trigger. Happily, it's now hard to imagine that I'll need to deal with a return at all, we are so happy with this one.”

“At first I thought I'd need the extra-firm. Had in my mind that firmer was better. Alas, was not so. The Cushion-Firm was perfect. It is plenty supportive and soft enough for side sleeping. I'm a 6' 3” male, 225lbs. The customer serice at E.S. is unbeatable. They asnwered all of my many questions along the way. They are knowledgable and really care about helping you select the right mattress. Without hesitation I will recommenend this company to anyone looking for a mattress!”

“This matress is a huge improvement on my previous beautyrest which was on its last legs. It is pretty firm, but I expected it to be a little bit firmer. The edge support is pretty good also. Im am getting much better sleep since switching to this matress.”

“I need to give a HUUUGE shoutout to the folks at EngineeredSleep! This is one classy company! I am very sorry to say that the “Classic Hybrid 12” Ultra Firm" mattress they sold me did not do the trick. Further research shows I probably want a Bonnell spring arrangement instead of pocket coils, which is what their Ultra Firm used. There might be such a thing as too hard, but their product wasn’t hard enough. All that said, the team at EngineeredSleep was absolutely amazing to work with. Not only were they johnny-on-the-spot with replying to my post, but ordering, customizing, and talking through the options with them was easy, friendly, courteous, and just everything you want a retail experience to be. And even though I customized my order (no foam, + side handles for flipping), they lived up to their returns policy no questions asked. (Other than, "Why?, of course.) They were gracious, and scheduled a return pickup as soon as I called. The afternoon of the pickup they processed the refund, which hit my credit card within the week. This is why they’re a Trusted Member of The Mattress Underground. Hats off to you, ES - I could not have asked for a better experience. Wish you guys all the best.”

“I got this mattress one month ago, it is very firm, exactly what I was looking for. I am a stomach sleeper and I had back pain from my previous mattress, which was medium-firm, but with this mattress that pain is gone and I definitely have a better night sleep.”

“CLASSIC HYBRID / QUEEN / 12” ULTRA-FIRM ORDER ES11096 This mattress was priced at the precipice of my budget. I wanted a good new mattress because my Serta pillow top was compressed into a "pillow top valley" that was giving me literal hip problems. The pain from the compressed pillow top forced me into an unanticipated expense and this mattress was at the very height of my budget and I could not have gone any higher in cost. This mattress is very good. It is not hard. It is firm. There is a very well selected cushion layer above the springs and this particular material is very thoughtfully selected. The bed sleeps even better after you break it in for a week, so give it a week, and it gets more comfortable. This is a firm mattress. It feels nothing like lying on your hardwood floor. It is a supporting, comfortable firmness, with a well-selected piece of cushioning on top that feels good and probably will NOT create a "pillow top compression valley" like a terrible Serta pillow top mattress does. I say buy this mattress. It's too bad it comes delivered rolled up, but compare this price to a custom mattress shop in your city that delivers something similar but not rolled up. The comparative value is present and this is a good firm mattress and yes, I recommend it. The talk with the Engineered Sleep guy on the phone was cordial and enjoyable. As perfect as humanly possible. I would buy this mattress again, and it was the best choice for me at the absolute top of my budget. A similar mattress from a custom mattress shop in town would have cost too much for me to obtain. This is a good firm mattress that I recommend to others. A strategic bit of specialized cushioning material on top the springs that seems like it's going to work for the next ten years. I feel good about my choice.”
