In addition to the refund for the bottle of Equiderma Skin Lotion that we emailed you about on Wednesday, we've also started one for the Barn Dog Skin Lotion. We'd like you to keep both of the bottles in this instance in case they're needed for your animals, no need to send them back.
Both the canine and equine Lotions are a base of mineral oil, chosen intentionally because it is not easily absorbed transdermally. That means it will spread on the skin easily once applied, which is ideal when treating a bacterial or fungal infection, you want the active ingredients to be able to get to the skin, not be absorbed/stopped first by hair/fur, and you want it to get to all the hard to reach areas. With equines, it is much more common for circumstances to call for larger areas of application, but in dogs, you would typically be applying a small amount to spot treat an issue (ring worm, hot spot, yeast, etc). If the issue is significant enough to be utilizing a lot of the Lotion over a large area of the body, a more comprehensive treatment may be needed, in which the Lotion would be a component. If you'd like to email us with more details about what is going on with your dog's skin, we're happy to help give tips and tricks as best we can, but it may also be advisable to check with your veterinarian as well. info@equiderma.com

“This stuff is AWESOME! Our little guy has allergies and we've been able to figure out how to manage them but sometims he get's little clusters of, I guess you'd call it execema on his skin. It's not excema but that's the best way to describe it - just dry, raised/bumpy patches. I was looking for something to heal those hot spots and found Barn Dog. The first time I used it on one of his bumpy patches, it worked pretty much over night. Put it on before bed and the next morning his bumpy patch was basically gone. It's a great product that is all natural, which I absolutely love!”
