“I used this to treat my horse’s tail and it made his skin hot to the touch and he was in clear discomfort. He would clench his butt every time I got near it. His skin started to peel and he got horrible burns. I washed it off with much difficulty and he was sore for a few days. I do NOT recommend this product.”
“Santiago would rather you not touch his ears and face. So, at first, he did not like the lotion put in his ears. After a while, I think he realized that it was helping him, so now when I get the Skin Lotion for Horses, he patiently stands there and allows me to rub it on him.
I love ALL the Equiderma products.”
“I used this product for a horse that appeared to have rain rot. He had two large areas one near withers and other on the side near wear the top of a girth would go. Both spots appeared rapidly and formed a crusty scab these size of a thumb nail. The sores were seeping a clear, sticky substance when first noticed. I applied skin lotion for two days prior to a vet exam on the horse. He diagnosed a "weird" type of fungus. The horse was given an oral fungicide paste for five days. The areas have been treated once daily with the Equiderma skin lotion. At the end of 8 days of treatment there are visible signs of new hair growth. The fungus appeared to have stopped spreading after only one day of oral medication. While I can not say that the lotion alone cured the fungus, I can say it was well worth the price and the horse is no longer attempting to scratch the uncomfortable areas. I will order more product and be ready to treat the itchy tails a few of my horses experience every summer.”
“I bought this to help me get rid of rain rot on a horse I had just purchased. Nothing else worked but this product. I highly recommend it. I am glad I tried it.”
