“The Annual Fire Inspection came to my Town House this morning (14/02/2025) and for once I felt more confident that the tests would be ok since I had made them myself earlier with my SmokeSabre Test Spray / Plastic Extension - 150ml.
Now I am more secure too that I can do the testing more often than yearly.
Besides, the "testing" of the smoke detectors coming with the gadgets simply tells one that their electric circuit and its source of electricity are ok. However, as I found last year, one of two bought in pair in Fab. date of Nov. 2018 failed the test and yet the other was still working today. The failure of the other last year implied further cost not just for its replacement but for another inspection and another half day lost for me.
What I would like to know is:
(1) if further 150 ml cans of spray can be purchased to replace the current one coming equipped with its plastic extension;
(2) how many sensible puffs of smoke can be expected from the 150 ml can;
(3) how to dispose legally of the can of smoke and, if the plastic extension is not reusable, the whole thing --- soon it might cause another source of plastic waste if the extension is inseparable of its can.
