“Firstly, thanks to Escapade, very quick delivery and all present and correct. After constant dissatisfaction with cheap Smiffys outfits, I stepped up to Rubies hoping it would be much better quality. The costume is ok, the main part good quality. The XL size advised 46-48” chest but was actually closer to 50” when it came. Length was good, I had to chop a couple of inches off the sleeves but the robe length was fine for me at 5’11. The hood actually is a full face mask. I had to adapt this to fit and found it very hot. The mask is half clear plastic to accommodate the eyes (they’re great btw) and I found it difficult to see properly. The other half is a woven mesh, so had to come off for eating and drinking. However the most disappointing thing were the bandoliers. Velcro fastened to the front, they don’t go round the back at all. Really how much extra would it cost to do it properly?? I suggest you get the gloves, they go well. I suggest you stay away from the gun, it looks like a cheap pound shop kids toy and doesn’t match the outfit at all!”

“The costume was great and as you can see on the photo it was very realistic to how they look in the film apart from me being 6ft lol. The mask with the lighting up eyes was great and the costume was thin enough where it was not too hot to wear for a long time. Would recommend for any star wars fans this was something different than the typical choices and it was a good choice.”

“JAWA COSTUME : Product was excellent. The only minor concern would be that when it was delivered the lights (the eyes) were on. Whether they were accidentally turned on when the postie delivered it or, worse, if they came on during shipment (South Midlands - Edinburgh), is a mystery. Perhaps some tape over the on/off switch would help to avoid this. That said, the lights still work and my event, a gig which I drummed in the costume (mask and all - NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THE FAINT HEARTED), went great! Thanks again! All in all... FANTASTIC!!! I''ll be back. :-)”

“Fantastic Jawa Costume: This product was used for filming a campaign video which centered around the star wars theme and was subsequently used as a fancy dress item for a further two weeks. The costume was well made and showed no signs of wear and tear by the end of the campaign period. It was very durable, we had it in sand pits, on nights out, it was traipsed around all day and it held up fine. It looked very realistic and certainly caught the eye. The light up eyes obviously work better in the night time, but are still visible during the day. Unlike many costumes it isn''t uncomfortable and people where happy to wear it on nights out without discomfort, unlike some of our other fancy dress items. Overall, I would suggest this is a great product for any Star Wars fancy dress, Escapade were by far the least expensive retailer for this item and I looked around extensively, and it served our team exceptionally well!”
