“As a 55 year old daily shaver with sensitive skin I whish I found this razor years ago. I have been using the Wilkinson Sword Classic as that was all you can get on the high street but was getting razor burn on my lower lip and neck areas The first shave with the ESC mild was the best shaving experience I have had. Firstly the control and comfort was far superior, I was in control of the razor and not fighting to stop it biting back as it glided smoothly across my face. I used the same Derby extra blades as before and it cleared all the stubborn area around my lower neck with no rash which the WS wouldn't touch. I have since used the Tiger blades which arrived as a freebie with the razor which give a smoother shave
As an engineer I choose this version as the idea of a lathe turned steel handle appealed to me.
The closeness of the shave is slightly better than the WS but for a daily shave with no nicks or burn this is great value for money. Worth it for the handle alone.”
