Considering how hutch it cost I thought at least it would have had a plastic or hard card board case presentation

To be as environmentally conscious as we can be, we try to minimise the amount of packaging we use to reduce waste. Our packaging boxes are made of strong recycled materials which are very protective - I'm glad to know that the razor was not damaged on arrival.
