Compact size and weight make it easy to use and low effort exhaustion. The clever handle design makes using the saw side as comfortable as the standard grip. Out of the box the blade does benefit from a fine grain sharpening stone over it to make a very sharp edge.
I may also swap out the rope lanyard for some paracord just to make it feel better. The sheath is good no frills, does the job and is of a rigid design.
I have quite a few Gerber products and this is certainly a great addition to the tool set.”
