“The course was everything I thought it would be and more! The instructors were very patient and full of helpful tips - definitely things I can bring back to my practice and implement on day one!! Looking forward to Level II training in a few months for sure!
If I had any quibble at all, it would be that there was not enough included product for the two patients we were to bring for each course, and no neurotoxin provided for the TMJ portion. I'm sure the companies would love to give more promo product for us to use and then purchase in the future - just my thoughts!”
“The option to complete didactic coursework prior to the course was highly valuable. Not having to travel was motivating to take the course. Videos were clear and organized.
I contacted the AAFE after the course as my filler patient had incredible swelling and the nurse got back to me immediately & requested photos as well as assisted me in triaging the matter. She was very helpful.
The venue was not adequate for materials placement/organization nor patient comfort- patients could not position their heads appropriately and lighting was atrocious. The course provision of toxin and filler was inadequate for the recommended patient experience. The videos and the instructors contradicted each other. Groups were poorly divided, some received very personal instruction and other groups were so big that no one could adequately see demonstrations.
I remain completely unclear of dosing. How do I determine how much toxin to dispense for certain areas on certain patients? The videos told me one thing and the instructor told me something very different.
I was so hopeful for this class and sadly I feel very unprepared to implement this in practice.”
