“I was really disappointed in the organization of our in-person course on March 15 in Charlotte, NC. The schedule was changed without advanced notice, patients were told to arrive early and then left waiting. We did not take the scheduled lunch break and it was repeatedly announced that the course administrator and at least one of the instructors had to catch an early flights. It felt poorly planned and poorly executed and I felt some embarrassment from bringing my assistant with me and having her observe the chaotic atmosphere. She independently commented to me that the class felt unorganized and stressful. I wanted her to return to the office with excitement and confidence to start talking about and offering botox treatment, and while she's still excited I think she does not yet feel confident and it will require more organized training on my part with her back at the office. I really feel frustrated that we paid a significant amount for this course for it to feel rushed and like the instructors were just ready to get on with their Saturday as soon as possible. I was hoping to take additional level courses with AAFE but I will have to talk to colleagues about their experiences to ensure this is not the norm before I would sign up again. We were also told there would be PDO threads available for hands on practice and we watched videos on how to use them in the course and then there were none available. Then the rep reached out to me on Tuesday to ask how my experience with the threads was and I had to tell her we got no experience. Overall, unorganized and disappointing.”
“Online learning is convenient and informative. Great resource to refer back to everyday as needed. In person learning is also done well. Live patient is very helpful to gain confidence in treatment you will take back to your practice. Overall I would certainly do it again.”
