Some earlier warning would have enabled me to source some elsewhere. “This is an excellent cut, always very good flavour and tender. There is usually a good layer of fat (not too thick) and I've found it leads to food old-fashioned dripping. Delicious on bread with a little salt!”

“I love Picanha, but I was pretty disappointed with these. One was perfect; the other was badly cut so that it was the right thickness at one end but tapered to nothing at the other. This isn't acceptable in any butchery let alone premium butchery for all sorts of reasons. For some reason, this steak didnt eat nearly as well as the other.”

“1st time cooking a Picanha and already I’m hooked, it's fab... did it on the rotisserie and it's now one of my favourite cuts... simple, tender, flavoursome.... and it's from my fave butcher. discovered during lockdown and never looked back.”
