“I drink soda with it all the time and it doesn’t change the flavor. It never leaks in my purse once I put it back. I did break off the tip of the cleaning brush after a couple months of use but it’s easy to find a replacement.”

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties cleaning your FinalStraw!
It's easiest to put your straw in the dishwasher folded into a "V" formation to allow for cleaning in between the metal pieces. Do this at least 1-2 times per month for best results.
Additionally, you have the option to sterilize your FinalStraw in boiling water with a little bit of baking soda.
