“This is my second straw as my first was left at a restaurant by my young one. Sigh final straw only if you hold on to it. I enjoy the lighter weight of the new version, however it doesn’t feel as sturdy....a tad cheaper feel that I wouldn’t notice had I not had the original. I like the cleaner better than the first one though so overall it balances out. it’s a great straw. I used mine all the time, Pre COVID. You’ll need to be vigilant about keeping it dry inside the holder or mold will grow. My daughter’s sticks if she doesn’t use it regularly so I soaked it in hot water, washed with vinegar and soaked it again. Solved the problem. I bought Carabiners to attach it to my purse so I can find them easily. I have gotten several friends onboard the final straw train and they are thrilled. Buy it. You won’t regret it.”
