This is my second Final Straw (bit of a contradiction there!) as I (super sadly) lost my first one (hope someone else is enjoying some eco-friendly sipping!). The first Final Straw I purchased was ordered when Final Straw was just starting up through Kickstarter. I'd purchased the "shark butt grey" colour (I think that was the name?), and loved it the second I got it. After losing it and finally accepting it was gone, I decided to repurchase when a sale was on at Final Straw. When I tried to enter the discount code, the code was not taken by the website. I contacted the Final Straw team who had said it was an error on the website and the code was no longer in play, but they honoured the "apparent" sale I saw and gave me my own discount. It just made me think of what a great and honest company this truly is!! I will say in comparison to the first Final Straw I had, the case of this one does seem different (colour aside). It seems lighter (which isn't necessarily a bad thing being that it is on my keys), and slightly less sturdy. I haven't had ANY issues whatsoever, but I did notice this difference. Could be just a different way of creating the item in order to save more resources (and $$), I'm not sure. But, as of now, I have no issues with it, the straw is the same and just as wonderful, and I actually prefer the way the cleaning tool is inputted into this case versus the older one! Thanks for everything, Final Straw fam! I hope this is the "Final Straw" I have to purchase, but think you're a fab company and hope you succeed going forward! :)

This is fantastic ! I use it daily and by keeping the holder on my Keychain, i can pull the brush out and give the straw a quick cleaning no matter what life puts in front of me ! I love that the ends of the straw are cushioned, no injury to the roof of the mouth with any bumps.

I like my traveling straw, it's very handy on my key chain. However, it's difficult to properly clean between the straw crevices (where it folds) and even more difficult to get it to dry properly. In addition, it's a bit difficult to put into the holding container and get it out of there. It does serve its purpose.

Hi Haley! We love to hear it you're being a responsible sucker and enjoying your FinalStraw!! When washing it be sure to stretch the metal pieces apart and get the outside of the silicone tubing nice and soapy before giving it a rinse. Once you rinse, fold your FinalStraw in a ā€œVā€ formation and give it a little shake to let the water out. Then, place your ā€œVā€ formation straw in a cup to let it dry. Once dry, fold back into your case and you are good to go! At least once a month, put your FinalStraw into the dishwasher folded into a "V" formation to allow for cleaning in between the metal pieces. Additionally, you can sterilize your FinalStraw in boiling water with a little bit of baking soda. This straw is great for on-the-go use! I love the convenient little carrying case, as well as the silicone on either end, as this makes it very comfortable for slurping. I definitely prefer the feeling of it to that of a plastic straw! The reason why I gave this straw only four stars and not five is because sometimes stuff gets stuck in the silicone liner inside of the metal and then you have to dig it out using the straw cleaner. Also, this straw takes a longgggg time to dry, which I think is again due to the silicone liner trapping water in between the metal. Otherwise, it's a great (and cute) little straw :)
