“Helps with locking log into place after rotating a log, keeps from making on a milled log surface. The cam dog also saves time when securing log on the saw bed.”
“Cam dog does not include crossbar, without which, it is useless waste of money. You will have to purchase a crossmember from a metal store, or an implement dealer, separately. I found a suitable round bar, in my garage, which was actually the lever bar from a highlift jack.”
The Cam Dog is designed to fit on the cross bar of the existing Log Dog. A standard sawmill can accommodate one Cam Dog and it attaches to the log dog bar. To add a second Cam Dog, you also require an optional Log Dog (clamp) kit (Item OS27-LDKIT for the OS27). We’re glad to hear you have found a working solution in the meantime.

“The cam dog is a must have tool I had some short walnut logs I needed to mill but wasn’t able to because I lack having enough clamps but once I installed the cam dog on my saw mill I finally was able to mill them and if I choose to shooter logs thanks”
