I just recently started training in Judo and bought this gi/uniform after reading several reviews and forums that talked about the merits of different Judo uniforms. My first impression was: it's super heavy (all of the weight is in the thick double weave jacket). The quality is very high and because the material is so thick and robust, when you first put the uniform on it will be very stiff and want to stand up on its own. After a couple hours of calisthenics and practicing throws, it will be well into the break-in process and be much softer. The constant pulling and tugging in Judo really make the thickness of the fabric an asset. Other things: the shipping was quick (to Sydney) and I am about 183 cm (6' 0") tall and maybe 81 kg or ~180 lbs with long legs. I ordered a 4.5 size and so far it fits me very well in the legs and the jacket though I haven't yet washed it. All in all very happy with the purchase and very sore after my first session of many to come I hope. Rock on Fuji...
