“I splurged and bought these with my birthday money this year. Very comfortable, very reinforced. I'm about 20 weeks pregnant with my second, and I already have quite a baby bump. I'm still flow rolling and doing most drills and warmups in BJJ class, and these spats provide the support and flexibility I need to be comfortable in class. The reinforcement means that they are fairly thick, which is great for support, but also warm. While breathable, they're also pretty toasty for rolling in the summer heat wave.
I am 5'4" and about 180 lbs right now (170-175 pre-pregnancy). I usually order size men's large in spats and rashguards. The only time I've tried to buy a women's rashguard, it was a sizing nightmare. So I think I'm a large in women's sizes too, but it's hard to say. Despite being fairly heavy, I'm not very large--most of my weight is in my leg muscles. I ordered a size large, and it fit very well. The spats a tiny bit longer than I would like (which I'm used to, because I have short legs), and the thighs were very snug at the first wear (which is not surprising, as I have robust thighs). However, the snugness was not uncomfortable, and, after two weeks, I've either gotten used to it, or they've stretched out a tiny bit. Either way, I'm very satisfied with these spats. Large was the right size for me, and the quality is great! So far, no slippage or awkward gear adjustments mid-roll.”
“I love tights from here so this is my only Criticism. I typically get XL, these were tighter in the thighs and then not enough compression in the stomach and room for the butt, bit of an awkward fit. Would love to see at this price point more room for glutes and a waist button or tie adjustment like other their other tights so they can be adjusted to stay up better and tighter/looser based on stage of pregnancy.”
“Great compression on the legs and comfortable bump hug (not too tight but tight enough to stay up). I started wearing these around 20 weeks and decided to order a second pair to take me the rest of the way through pregnancy. I had previously ordered some cheap but well rated ones from Amazon But they had almost no compression which was disappointing. These are definitely a little pricier but the quality seems good so far.”
“I ordered the wrong size (I’m 5’11”, 150# pre-pregnancy and was about 210 when I delivered), ordered an XL but they were too large. I still wore them but they didn’t stay up — I think a Large would be better for someone around the same size. I didn’t not try it but I bet the company would happily allow for an exchange, I just didn’t think to reach out and request it.”
“Material is thick, comfy and not see through at all. I've been wearing these from week 19 - 25 of pregnancy so far and they're so comfortable around my bump. All my other spats cut in around my waist and make it hard to move but these are fantastic. I'm 5'5" and am now around 168 lbs. The size L fits great around the bump but are a bit tight through the legs, even when I first got them at 19wks so if I get another pair I would prob go up a size.”
“I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant in my second pregnancy and let me tell you, these spats are life changing! Not only can I wear these casually throughout the day but they are made with the best design, quality and comfort for Jiu Jitsu. I struggled to find any kind of maternity legging or workout gear that wasn’t see through or that could take the abuse of no gi. These spats have the double paneling in the most important areas, snug fit and are flattering. There is no tight elastic on the belly digging in and they’re literally the softest spats I own. I have recommended these to all my pregnant friends and want to wear these even post pregnancy!!”
