Use them on all my entrances, sturdy in winter & windy weather; effective & not imposing on different architectural entrances at side & back doors.

Went together and installed easily. Haven't gone through winter yet so I'm interested to see how it holds up with snow. I believe it should be ok.

The canopy provided was per our order, and was delivered with all parts present and no dents or damage. The assembly was fairly easy to complete. However, a strong wind gust pulled the support arms out of the wall sockets because the setscrews did not hold the support arms securely enough. We drilled a hole through the support arm and installed a machine screw in each arm. This was secure enough to keep the awning in place in the next high wind event.

100% Satisfied! ATTENTION ANYONE WITH A ROOF-MOUNTED AWNING! I tried for years to get a roof-mounted awning replaced on my home. No awning company would touch it for fear of causing leaks. I decided to do it myself, and hopefully, my experience can help others in the same situation. I want to start with the fact that dealing with General Awnings was a great experience. I ordered a custom-sized awning and it arrived in pristine condition within two weeks. The build quality is great and the assembly was super easy. To solve my mounting problem I visited a local metal fabrication shop. I first measured the angle of my roof, then calculated what angle would give me a vertical surface to mount my awning to. I purchased a 6" aluminum plate and had it cut to the width of my awning. They then bent 2" of it to the angle that I provided them. It cost me around 50 dollars. I secured the 4" section under the row of shingles nearest to above my exterior wall. This gave me a solid vertical plate to mount my new awning to without worrying about roof leaks. My new awning has been up for about six months now, and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend General Awnings for their quality and ease of assembly for even the most basic of DIY enthusiasts.
