“I purchased these NB FuelCell 4040v6 turf shoes on sale, to have an all-turf field shoe in my gearbag this season. These shoes fit true to size, are light weight , have some shine-abilty areas on them, but are mostly breathable mesh in the construction to help keep your feel cooler when working those hots days on hot synthetic turf fields (which do get much warmer than grass fields). If you don't want or like white accents in your baseball umpire shoes, these are in fact all black with no white accents. On a style note, these shoes offer an off center lace style, which is different and unique. Time will tell how durable they are. It is still early in the Spring, so I have only worn these shoes once for a field clinic on a synthetic turf field. These shoes offer solid grip, good support, and feel good on the ball-field. I look forward to more filed time with these shoes.”
