“Nice unit. Easy to connect. My application is likely different from other users since it is aviation related. The issue i am having is that the unit gets very warm/hot and it shut down in flight. I am not using the pedastal mount and that may be the issue due to a lack of air flow. However the mount may place the unit too high. I have put the unit my car with plenty of air flow and it still got very warm/hot especially at the hd device location. This is a concern. I would like to find a solution as it is a great idea for my needs.”
“I am a kickstarter customer who bought two Hudly's. I bought them for use in my airplane. I really like them with my aviation apps. The hud is fantastic. Since most pilots have a gps system that connects via wifi this means you have to have the gps enapled phone or tablet to use it in the airplane. That is the good. Now the bad. Their customer support leads a lot of room for improvement. I kept asking when I was going to recieve the hudly's and was told they were shipped with a fake tracking number with DHL. It wasn't. I was told it was a real tracking number even though it was 14 characters long when DHL said all their numbers were only 10 characters. When I asked when I was going to get the items I ordered since they missed every date they predicted they quit talking to me via e-mail. I sent a request for someone I could talk to in person to find out if they were a scam and no reply. Finally, after many terse e-mails, the hudly's just showed up. But without the car dongle I ordered with the hudly's. They said they would get it to me, but not when it will show up. It still has not arrived and I have no idea when it will. I gave them 3 stars because their product is great, but their customer support is awful. They could care less about their customer or repeat buisness.”
“I am a Kickstarter customer and received my Hudly Wireless about a month ago. The learning curve is not steep but I hit a couple of snags getting wireless connections to my iPhone. This was, I fiound out, iPhone operator (me) error, if that is a good term. I found that Hudly customer service is prompt, efficient and accurate. I am very happy with my purchase.”
