“I decided yesterday to break in the shoes and started to wear them after which I decided to use clear shoe polish to soften the leather, something I learned from the military, anyway as I was removing the laces two of the metal eye leads on the shoe came out of the holes for the laces. Obviously, I can return them as I have worn them on the street and the soles are scuffed. Meaning I will have to take them to a cobbler and have them repaired.
Its the little things and attention to detail that count.
Other than that, the first time I wore the shoes, they were comfortable, obviously a little stiff, but I didn't have sore feet after, + point.
The service of changing the shoes was good

G&B have offered to have the shoes (eye leads) replaced.
I find this to be a generous offer and will more than likely take them up on it
Would I use G&B again? Most certainly, their after-service is very good and they obviously read the evaluations that people make and take them seriously...”

thank you so much for your review. While we appreciate all the positive experiences you shared about our shoes, we do feel sorry for the factory error with one of the lids. You are right that a return of worn shoes is rather tricky and not something that is accepted most of the time. However, for factory errors like yours you can completely rely on us fixing it! We can either repair it (free of charge) for you or swap it if that's not possible and last but not least refund if neither of these things are possible.
Our shoes are premium quality, so that is what you can expect from them as well!

“The shoes are great, especially given the price. They fit nicely (for formal shoes that didn't have a chance to try on), creasing seems to be forming nicely (narrow, little creases almost only on the non-decorated parts) and with a bit of shine the tips look great. I hope they will last a while and that the soles will be easy to have replaced when they wear down.
One thing I would appreciate is a rubber soled version, since currently only black welted shoes are available with those.”
