“At first I was happy. The step up ring screwed smoothly onto my brand new 35mm Nikon lens,(so new I had to wait for it to arrive after I bought the rings). I put a filter into the step up, again smooth, just a feather touch to screw it in. All fine. Afterwards I had no trouble dismounting the filter BUT I cannot dismount the step up from the front of the lens. I tried to unscrew it using the same light touched I initially screw it on, expecting the same smooth action. Nope, the ring is firmly jammed on. I only used the set up for some table top shots so no bumps or rough handling, no poor weather. Now I can’t fit my lens cap or my lens hood back onto my brand new lens. So great service from Gorilla but that $3.00 step up is going to cost me much more to get removed.”
