“No issue with Grow Daddy -- the 2 x 40' cables were received promptly. I do question the product itself. The cables are billed as having an integrated thermostat that "turns the cable off when the soil reaches your target temperature". Not until you read the instruction manual, do you discover that your target temperature is achieved by adding and subtracting soil depth over the cables and using a thermometer to figure out how deep the soil needs to be for this. How dumb is this? I bought these cables to replace a roof eve/gutter de-icing cable that died after three years of use. It had no integrated thermostat but I ran it through a wall (air) thermostat (and GFI -- which provided my indication of its death). The depth of my greenhouse grow beds are determined by their concrete block walls. I have three grow beds in my greenhouse -- mostly used for salad greens, tomatoes and spring transplants and will likely go back to using de-icing cables as needed. These, I have actual temperature control over (using my wall thermostats).”
